Turnout and brush gear is stowed in lockers, ready to be put on rapidly in the event of a call.
In the basement of the Station, we have built a two story "house", that we use to practice search and rescue and fire attack. It is complete with rooms, doors, hallways, some furniture and stairs. The ceilings are very low to force the practice of staying low in heavy smoke conditions during a structure fire.
Located directly behind the Fire Station from Main Road. Accessible from Fox Hill Road.
We use the training enclosure to practice fire attack, car extrication and other procedures that are impossible to simulate indoors. It is fenced off to keep visitors away from the training props that can potentially be unsafe to untrained persons.
The training props pictured here, a dumpster and a shipping container, are used to practice fire attack.
