STRUCTURE FIRE - 8 DOWD ROAD - 5/27/19

At approximately 12:32 on Monday afternoon, Monterey Fire was dispatched to an remote address on Dowd Road for a Structure Fire.

Truck 172 arrived first due; crews deployed a 1 3/4” hose line and made a aggressive interior attack of a well-involved basement fire.

Mutual Aid on the First Alarm brought crews from Great Barrington Fire Department, Otis Volunteer Fire Dept, New Marlborough Fire Department, and Southern Berkshire Volunteer Ambulance Squad, Inc.

The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in nature.

All units returned in service by 16:00
